Chocolate Sweet Cake

2 Cups Flour
2 Cups Sugar
1 Teaspoon soda
2 Sticks Oleo
1 Cup Water
5 Tablespoons Cocoa
1 Cup Buttermilk
2 Eggs
1 Teaspoon Vanilla


In a saucepan, melt oleo and water. Bring to a boil and pour over dry ingredients.

Bake at 350° for one hour.


Leave out the cocoa for a “blonde” sweet cake.
